Nyeh!

For your convenience, I’ve decided to create a single post that has links to all of the torrents for Little Kuriboh’s Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series. These are official YGO: TAS torrents provided by LK and the team over at YuGiOhtheAbridgedSeries.com. They contain only original, high-quality videos made by LK himself, not flash videos ripped from YouTube or Revver. Any new torrents that are released in the future will be added to this post.

Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series – Torrents
  • Torrent – 01-22, Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Movie (WMV)
  • Torrent – 23-28 (WMV)
  • Torrent – 29 (WMV)
  • Torrent – 33-39 (AVI)
  • Torrent – Christmas Special #1, Cr@psule Monsters 1, Marik’s Evil Council of Doom 1 & 2, The Final Abridged Video Ever, Yu-Gi-Oh: The Other Abridged Movie, Zorc & Pals, Dan Green Presents Abridging 101, Dan Green vs The Spiderwick Chronicles (WMV)

A link to this post has also been added to my YGO: TAS downloads page (under the “Torrents” heading). If a certain video isn’t found here or on that page, then LK hasn’t made the video available for download.

Atem and Yuugi shaking hands in episode 96

I thought it would be useful to have a single post that contained links to all of the torrents for the various English-subbed Yu-Gi-Oh! series and episodes. These links certainly aren’t new, but they’ve previously been scattered in various other posts and pages, making them difficult to find. Hopefully, that won’t be the case anymore. If any new torrents for subbed episodes appear in the future, they’ll be added to this post.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Subbed – Torrents
Yu-Gi-Oh! Subbed – Torrents

(a.k.a. Series 1, Season 0, The Shadow Games, Toei Version, etc.)

  • Torrent – TV-Nihon – 01-21
  • Torrent – TV-Nihon – 20v2, 21v2, 22-27, and Movie

You can find a lot more subbed episodes available for direct download on my subbed Duel Monsters page, but unfortunately, I’m not able to create a torrent for all of them and seed them for extended periods of time. So if a torrent isn’t already here, you’ll have to rely on the direct download links. Sorry if that’s an inconvenience.

Update (November 6, 2010): Links to unofficial downloads/streams have been removed.

Rebecca and Anzu receive some upsetting news in episode 159

Recently, I’ve been getting emails informing me that links to several of the YGO DM raws are broken. Unfortunately, I don’t have any of the raws on my computer and I don’t know when I’ll be able to reupload them, so it’s probably going to take awhile before those links work again. For now, you can still grab the raws via the torrents. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Update (May 25, 2009): All of the dead links have been replaced, so this post is being unstickied. If you notice any more broken links, please don’t hesitate to let me know!

Bakura and his invisible gun in YGOTAS episode 37

Little Kuriboh has recently made high-quality versions of YGO: TAS episodes 33 through 39, along with Naruto: The Abridged Comedy Fandub Spoof Series Show and Without Yugi, available for download via BitTorrent. Please note that these are not low-quality flash videos ripped from YouTube. They’re gorgeous, Xvid-encoded AVI files with a 640×480 resolution (or in Without Yugi’s case, a 704×384 resolution).

For those of you who prefer direct downloads, I have uploaded these videos to MegaUpload and posted the links on my YGO: TAS page. All of the videos, except for episode 39, are also available on the YGO: TAS Revver channel if you prefer the MOV versions.

Strangely, high-quality versions of episodes 30-32, as well as some of the specials, have still not yet been made available. Maybe we’ll see them in the future. For now, go download these episodes and enjoy!

In the past, I’ve been asked several times about whether there was a torrent for all of the Duel Monsters raws. Each time, my response was the same: I didn’t know of any. Well guess what? There are torrents!

As it turns out, since the middle of December 2008, a group called Zero-Raws had been scouring Japanese P2P networks for Duel Monsters raws. While I had heard of this group before, I thought that that they released their finds only through fserves or bots on IRC. I only recently found out that the DM raws could be found on the AniRena.com tracker. It feels pretty good to be wrong!

The raws from these torrents aren’t necessarily the same raws found on the DM raws page. If you want to know whether a certain raw from the torrents is the same as a raw from the DM raws page, a quick (but imperfect) way of doing so is to compare their file sizes (which can found in the torrent’s file list and on the raw’s MegaUpload page).

Enjoy the raws! Don’t forget to seed for as long as you can!

TV-Nihon’s version 2 of Yu-Gi-Oh! (Series 1) episode 21 is up! As usual, you can grab it from my Series 1 page or via BitTorrent from TV-Nihon’s official tracker. All thanks go to Janime’s latiasfan2004 for the upload!

TV-Nihon has released a version 2 of Yu-Gi-Oh! (Series 1) episode 20. This new version has a much-improved video quality and fixes some mistakes that were in the subs. Yay!

You can download this episode from the Series 1 page. Credit for the new link goes to Janime’s wonderful ShadowNeko003! As with TV-Nihon’s other releases, if you prefer downloading this using a torrent, TV-Nihon’s official tracker has you covered. Please note that even though this new version doesn’t have “v2” in the filename, it really is a second version.

Look out, it’s version 2!

TV-Nihon is on a roll, releasing Toei Animation’s 30-minute Yu-Gi-Oh! movie — simply entitled “Yu-Gi-Oh!” — earlier today. Needless to say, I’ve created a new page just for the movie here, where you can download it via MegaUpload. All credit for the upload goes to Janime’s ShadowNeko003. As with TV-Nihon’s releases of Series 1, if you prefer downloading via BitTorrent, you can grab it from TV-Nihon’s official tracker.

Hey! What happened to my green hair?! Oh, you gave it to that kid…

This movie premiered in 1999, after the first series ended, but before the second series (Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters) debuted. It is often seen as a bridge that links the first series, which centers on the everyday misadventures of Yuugi and his friends, to the second series, which of course focuses on Yuugi and the titular card game. The movie places an emphasis on the card game, and introduces the mechanisms of game-play more greatly than in the first series. Additionally, the backs of the cards change from the “MW” design seen in the first series to the familiar oval design seen in the real card game and in all later series. And, of course, Kaiba loses his lime-colored hair for a more attractive shade of brown. In Japan, this movie was screened simultaneously with the 20-minute “Digimon Adventure” movie.

LittleKuriboh parodies this movie in Yu-Gi-Oh: The Other Abridged Movie.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Series 1 (aka Season 0) Subbed

Earlier today, the fansubbing group TV-Nihon released episode 27 of the first series of Yu-Gi-Oh!, making them the first group in recent times to sub this series in its entirety!

To celebrate this great accomplishment, not to mention the awesome release of a Yu-Gi-Oh! show that many people still have not seen, I’ve created a new page for this series here that contains links to episodes 1 through 27. All credit and thanks go to Janime’s DARKMASTER, MidnightBlues, and especially to Gato and latiasfan2004, for uploading these episodes onto MegaUpload. For those of you who prefer torrents, you can also download this series from TV-Nihon’s official tracker. I’ve also added a link to TV-Nihon’s website in my blogroll.

What? Someone actually cares about my old show?!

In case you don’t know, the first Yu-Gi-Oh! series, simply called “Yu-Gi-Oh!”, aired in Japan between April and October of 1998 — two years before the series “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters” premiered. However, it was the Duel Monsters series that went on to become an international phenomenon, and when early fans stumbled upon the first series, many christened it “Season 0,” a lost season of Duel Monsters. This, however, is incorrect, for the two are completely separate series animated and produced by different companies. It has also been referred to as “Yu-Gi-Oh! The Shadow Games,” “Yu-Gi-Oh! Series 0,” and “Yu-Gi-Oh! Toei” (after the studio who animated it — Toei Animation).

Now that I’ve made a post about this series, I’ll no doubt get more and more questions about where the raws can be found. The short answer is that while raws for about half of the episodes can be found on Janime, the quality isn’t too good, and they might be difficult to work with for anyone who’s interested in fansubbing this series themselves. I haven’t decided whether I want to dedicate a page here to those raws, but this is something that I’ll address in a future post. For now, go and download TV-Nihon’s release of Yu-Gi-Oh! and enjoy the show!

Update (October 28, 2008): I ended up deciding against posting the aforementioned raws. Their quality is very poor and it’s not a complete set of raws anyway.

Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series

Well, I was bored, so I decided to upload everyone’s favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! parody — Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series by LittleKuriboh! I’ve created a new page for it here.

The videos are available as WMVs (uploaded onto MegaUpload) and MOVs (from the YGO: TAS Revver account). If you don’t like direct downloads and prefer torrents, you can grab them from the official YGO: TAS website’s episodes page.

These videos, by the way, are not flash videos (FLVs) that were downloaded off of YouTube. They are videos that LittleKuriboh himself has made available via his blog or yugiohtheabridgedseries.com.

Even though it’s been over two years since YGO: TAS first appeared on YouTube, I still get a lot of laughs from watching and re-watching the series. I hope you all enjoy these as well. LittleKuriboh’s work is one of a kind.

Update (May 24, 2009): You can now also find all of the YGO: TAS torrents conveniently listed in this post. If any new torrents are released in the future, they’ll be added there.
