Thought LittleKuriboh was done with anime conventions this month? Guess again! The creator of Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged will be returning to the Middle Tennessee Anime Convention (MTAC) next weekend, March 25 through 27. LK has been a mainstay of the con since 2014.
Also attending MTAC this year is Eric Stuart, the voice of Seto Kaiba. Don’t expect Eric to get all chummy with LK though — LK is his mortal enemy, haha. Eric last appeared at this hometown con in 2014 with friend and fellow Yu-Gi-Oh! actor Dan Green.
MTAC will take place at the Sheraton Music City Hotel and at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville Airport in Nashville, Tennessee. Online preregistration ends March 24.

Today, LittleKuriboh launched a brand new Let’s Play series featuring everyone’s favorite YGOTAS evil villain! “Marik Plays – Star Wars – Knights of the Fallen Empire” features the Midriffed One playing the latest expansion pack in the Star Wars: The Old Republic MMORPG series. Marik allies himself with the “special snowflake” team and plays as one of the Thundercats. (Why not choose one of those “hentai people” instead?!) Sadly, the game did not allow his his username to be Neko Neko Marik.
This is only part 1 of the series and doesn’t yet show any actual gameplay, but don’t be put off by that. There are some real gems in this video, like hearing Marik sing about Bakura to the tune of the Main Theme of Star Wars. Sadly, Bakura himself doesn’t make an appearance, but since he’s in the video’s thumbnail, I’m guessing it’s only a matter of time before he injects himself into the action.
Be sure to subscribe to LittleKuriboh’s YouTube channel to see more of this and his other Let’s Plays.
LK Anime Convention Update: SunnyCon
LittleKuriboh has added one more anime convention guest appearance to his 2016 line-up: SunnyCon in Newcastle upon Tyne, England! LK will be flying across the pond to take part in the con’s exciting fifth year between June 17 to 19. Also guesting at the event will be Marianne Miller, Johnny Yong Bosch, and TeamFourStar’s Lanipator, MasakoX, and Takahata101.
Which other cons is LK heading to this year? Check out the small but growing list on my page dedicated to LK’s anime con appearances.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged — that’s the movie with the evil ring and the hobbits, right? Yes, yes it is, and LittleKuriboh confirms it today in the newest episode! Check out YGOTAS episode 65, “Puzzled Shipping,” available now on YouTube and TeamFourStar.com! In this episode, Yugi reunites with an old friend whose Facebook friend request he never accepted, then gets a history lesson from an Internet academic scholar who sounds coincidentally like the host of LK’s The Mark Remark series. And finally, Yugi and Yami save the world using the power of Puzzleshipping! I read a great book about that once, I think.
Need to catch up on Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged? Visit my page for YGOTAS streams for a list of LK’s other episodes. I will provide a download of episode 65 in about a month. In the meantime, please support LK and watch it on YouTube and TFS.
LittleKuriboh showed a preview of episode 65 during an October 4 live stream for his Patreon supporters. If you enjoy LK’s videos and want to see more projects from him, take a look at his Patreon page. Patrons who give $5 or more per month are invited to hang out with LK during monthly live streams.
More Anime Conventions for 2016
LittleKuriboh has announced three more anime convention appearances for 2016.
First up is Anime Southwest, a brand-new convention taking place in Aurora, Colorado. LK will join fellow voice actors Blake Shepard, Laura Post, and Samantha Inoue-Harte as guests. Anime Southwest will be held from April 29 to May 1. Enter the promo code “iknowthem” when registering for a 15 percent discount, said LK during this week’s edition of We’re Still Here.
Next, LK will be a returning guest at MomoCon in Atlanta, Georgia. Also attending will be LK’s wife Marianne Miller (blackrose1m), Ben Diskin, David Vincent, Erica Mendez, Laura Post, and Matt Mercer. Momocon will take place from May 26 to 29. LK has been a regular at the event each year since 2012.
And finally, LK will be attending Anime Expo in Los Angeles, California from July 1 to 4. Though he won’t be a guest, he will have a booth with fun YGOTAS merch in the exhibit hall as he has in previous years.
Will LittleKuriboh be making a stop near you? Have a look at my page dedicated to LK’s anime convention schedule for more of his upcoming plans.
LittleKuriboh Elsewhere on the Interwebs: L4D2 Let’s Play, Elitespeak Interview
LittleKuriboh took part in a live Let’s Play session of Left 4 Dead 2 with his friends xthedarkone and Zieg on September 23. During the stream, LK mentioned how he tried developing a sound mod for the Smoker featuring Naruto, a project that he pursued back in June 2013 but that he never completed. We want to see it, LK! L4D2 is a game that LK loves and that he has previously live streamed with Marianne.
Then, LittleKuriboh was a guest on the September 30 episode of Elitespeak, a podcast run by Elite3, the creators of Pokemon ‘Bridged. LK, together with YGOTAS editor 1KidsEntertainment, Nowacking, xJerry64x, Krosecz, and chromegloss, spoke about their philosophies behind abridging, writing, and editing, their voice acting goals, and how abridging has affected their consumption of entertainment. If you’ve ever wanted to know what some of these big names in the abridging world think about the content creation process, give this entertaining 90-minute podcast a listen. And to see other fun and informative talks with LK that I’ve previously followed, check out my list of Interviews and Q&As with LittleKuriboh.

Licking your lips? Admit it, you were so ready for that pepper!
LittleKuriboh today fulfills a personal goal by appearing in the latest episode of Hot Pepper Gaming, the popular YouTube show where participants ingest a dangerously spicy variety of hot pepper then proceed to review a video game (and the pepper!). Watch as LK takes a big bite of a habanero pepper then talks up Undead Lab’s State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition, which he calls his “favorite zombie survival game of its kind.”
Other than turning into YGOTAS Espa Roba for a few moments, LK barely flinched. C’mon, Hot Pepper Gaming, don’t you know this man has taken on the Orochon Ramen Special #2 and its secret spice recipe more than once? A habanero is child’s play for him!
“WE’LL GET YOU BACK,” promised HPG’s creative director Vernon Shaw.
LK joins a long list of Internet celebs like Markiplier, EgoRaptor, and Octopimp and even voice actor Matt Mercer to participate in HPG.
LittleKuriboh Anime Convention Updates: Otakon, AAC, C+A+D
Since my last update, LittleKuriboh has added a few more anime con stops to his busy 2015 schedule. Let’s see what’s new.
First, LK has confirmed that he will return to this year’s Otakon, to be held in Baltimore, Maryland between July 24 and 26. Otakon has yet to release panel information, so there’s no word yet on whether or not LK will get to hold a panel this year. Stay tuned to Otakon’s website and social media channels to find out.
Second, LK has been invited to attend Another Anime Convention in Manchester, New Hampshire from October 16 through 18. This will be LK’s second guest appearance at the event.
Check my page dedicated to LittleKuriboh’s anime convention visits to see his other announced stops this year.
LittleKuriboh Video Updates
LittleKuriboh may not have uploaded any new Yu-Gi-Oh!-related videos recently, but that doesn’t mean those updates have stopped. On TeamFourStar.com, YGOTAS episodes 32, 46, and 47 were made available last month after they had been accidentally hidden when the site first went live. As such, I have added links to these videos to my YGOTAS streams and downloads pages. I’ve also added a few older YGOTAS side videos for download.
As for where the new YGOTAS episode is, it’s in the works! LK’s most recent replies say that it will be released “soonish” and “hopefully within the next month [June] or so.” Don’t worry, LK, take your time.
In the meantime, LK has been finding a lot of success with We’re Still Here, a vlog series where he shares his struggles with depression and how he has learned to battle the disorder, and with The Mark Remark, a satirical news show documenting the antics of WWE wrestling. Why not give those a shot?

“All over the world, children’s trading cards are coming to life and causing untold devastation!” bemoans a TV news anchor. You know what that means: the Orichalcamalos is here! LittleKuriboh today released Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged episode 64, “A New Evil Awises,” bringing the series into its long-awaited fourth season. The episode guest stars Takahata101, who reprises his role as Dartz, along with Tomamoto, Nowacking, and… Kyle Hebert?! Yes, Kyle Hebert (Dragon Ball Z’s narrator and adult Gohan, Gurren Lagann’s Kamina, Fate/Zero’s Berserker) provides the opening narration in this episode. Check it out and let LK know what you think!
As with YGOTAS episode 63, this latest episode was also edited by 1KidsEntertainment, whom LK praised for doing such a standout job.
“I won’t lie, @onekids editing YGOTAS has likely saved both my sanity and the show,” LK tweeted. “So I owe him a great deal.”
Anime Convention Update: San Japan, Alcon
LittleKuriboh has added another two anime con appearances to an already very busy 2015.
From July 31 through August 2, LK will be a guest at San Japan for the fourth time! The event will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in downtown San Antoinio, Texas. Also attending are Kaiserneko, Lanipator, MasakoX, and Takahata101 of Team Four Star, and voice actor Lisa Ortiz (the voice of Serenity Wheeler).
LittleKuriboh will also be returning to Leicester, England for his sixth guest appearance at Alcon! This year’s Alcon takes place on September 3 to 6 and will once again be an 18+ event.
Update (March 7): LK uploaded YGOTAS episode 64 to YouTube today.

Happy New Year! After a bit of uncertainty, LittleKuriboh confirmed today that he will be able to attend Anime Los Angeles next week. How’s that for a super New Year’s Day announcement? This will mark the first time LK visits this event.
Anime Los Angeles will run from January 9 through 11. The convention, now in its 11th year, will take place at the LAX Airport Marriott in Los Angeles, California. This year’s guests include LK’s wife and fellow voice actor Marianne Miller; manga industry veteran, author, and editor Carl Horn; freelance pop-culture writer Liz Ohanesian; voice actors David Vincent, Matthew Mercer, Erica Mendez, and Kaiji Tang; and many more.
Looks like LittleKuriboh has a busy start to 2015. LK celebrated the new year at Ichibancon in Concord, North Carolina and will be there all weekend. And after Anime L.A., he’ll be at AOD in Burlingame, California at the end of the month. See what other stops he has announced for 2015 so far on my page for LK’s Anime Convention Schedule.

It’s been almost one year since Marik last powered up his PC and settled down for a game of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, but he’s back! Today, LittleKuriboh’s Let’s Play series featuring everyone’s favorite Egyptian villain returned with episode 11, “Face/Off”! What crazy antics will Marik get into this time? Will he build a rapport with a fellow evil, sexy, blond megalomaniac with a split personality? Will there be characters wearing hot pants? Or will Marik just be enjoying the city’s many back alleys and rear entrances? Spoiler: Some deadly frenching goes on.
LittleKuriboh is committed to keeping Marik Plays as a regular thing, having already recorded enough content for several new episodes.
“Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines’ just got patched to 9.0 – Jesus, has a game ever had this committed a fanbase for fixing its problems?” asked LK back in May. “I’m gonna patch the game and add a bunch of mods that make it considerably prettier for the next time I record footage for it. Which may be sooner than you all think. I’ve actually recorded all the way to getting out of Santa Monica already, which is enough for another 5 or 6 videos.”
At a few of his convention panels earlier this year, LK confirmed that he has built up a healthy cache of Marik Plays and hopes to release them on a consistent weekly basis.
Keep it tuned to TeamFourStar.com to see more of LK’s Let’s Play videos.
LittleKuriboh first began publishing Let’s Plays in December 2010, releasing episode 1 of Marik Plays Bloodlines and himself playing the comic book-style game Red Hawk for the Commodore 64 to his YouTube channel ObeyMyRod.
LK’s Super Anime Convention Appearance Update
Yesterday, Marianne Miller posted a huge list of LittleKuriboh’s convention appearances for 2015. They include conventions like MTAC, which had previously announced LK as a guest but had only recently finalized the event’s date and venue, and completely new announcements like Anime Expo.
Here are LK’s 2015 stops from the post:
- Ichibancon, January 1 to 4 in Concord, North Carolina
- Animation On Display (AOD), January 31 to February 1 in San Francisco, California
- Anime Milwaukee, February 13 to 19 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Kami-Con, February 27 to March 1 in Birmingham, Alabama
- Middle Tennessee Anime Convention (MTAC), April 3 to 5 in Nashville, Tennessee
- Fanime, May 22 to 25 in San Jose, California
- MomoCon, May 28 to 31 in Atlanta, Georgia
- Anime Expo, July 2 to 5 in Los Angeles, California
There are more announcements to come, but don’t be too surprised if LK doesn’t make as many appearances as he’s done in previous years.
“Gonna be super happy when we cut back on cons next year and don’t have to deal with leaving multiple times a month,” tweeted Marianne earlier this year.
LK has one more stop to make before the end of this year: Yama-Con in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee from December 5 through 7.
See a list of all of his previously announced stops on my page for LK’s Anime Convention Schedule.

It’s not the new episode that she’s gawking at…
And so, the Battle City tournament ends. I sure hope Kaiba isn’t butthurt about the outcome and doesn’t do something drastic, like blow up the island and kill everyone! Check out LittleKuriboh’s Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged episode 62, “Winged Dragon Of Rawr!” now available at TeamFourStar.com. New episodes will be available exclusively on TFS for one week before being uploaded to YouTube.
LittleKuriboh had previewed an incomplete version of YGOTAS episode 62 at conventions earlier this year before premiering the full product at Anime Expo in July.
A month ago, LK had stated that he was holding off on releasing the new episode because of some “big news” that he was waiting to announce. For those out of the loop, LK has made Team Four Star’s website his new home for videos after Blip.tv closed his account at the start of this month.
“[W]e wanted to make sure we actually had a place to put the episode before uploading it,” wrote LK’s wife Marianne Miller in a new post on TFS that further clarifies the situation.
To help raise awareness of his move, LittleKuriboh today also released “‘Where’s The New Episode?!’ – a short film” costarring fellow voice actor and abridger xthedarkone. (Why are you watching this when you could be watching the new episode?!)
LittleKuriboh’s home on TFS is gradually coming together as videos continue to be added and he gets his own section in the drop-down menu at the top of the page. I’ve added LK’s newest videos to my page for YGOTAS streams and will update the old links to point to his other TFS uploads once the dust has settled over there. I haven’t decided if I’ll update my YGOTAS downloads page since it doesn’t look like LK will be offering downloads any more. When Blip.tv discontinued support for iTunes distribution earlier this year, neither LK nor YGOTAS fans made a stink about it, so there doesn’t seem to be much demand for downloads anyway.
Anime Convention Update: Youmacon 2014
In a move that surprised nobody, Detroit anime convention Youmacon announced last week that LittleKuriboh will return as a guest to help celebrate the con’s 10th year! Also in the guest line-up are the members of Team Four Star and loads of anime voice actors, including Steve Blum, Caitlin Glass, and Johnny Yong Bosch.
Attendees of last year’s Youmacon got a special treat when LK announced that he had obtained the full script for Naruto The Abridged Movie (yes, the real Naruto The Abridged Movie) from MasakoX. As longtime followers of Naruto Abridged know, Vegeta3986 announced the production and casting of the movie back in October 2009. The movie was only partially completed and the subpar eight-minute clip that was made became a running joke among abridgers for its quality and long production time.
LittleKuriboh, Team Four Star, and Linkara performed a live reading of the script at Youmacon 2013, including the parts that never made it onto video, getting about halfway through the script before their panel time ran out. Lanipator and LK haphazardly suggested that they would finish the reading this year. Will attendees get to hear the thrilling conclusion to the story that was never be produced? I sure hope they continue. What kind of awful people would they be if they just left it on a cliffhanger?
Youmacon will be held on October 30 through November 2 at the COBO Center and the GM Renaissance Center in Detroit, Michigan. This will be LK’s sixth Youmacon appearance.
More Anime Cons for 2015: AOD, MomoCon
LittleKuriboh also has two more cons booked for 2015. First is Animation on Display (AOD), which will be held on January 31 and February 1, 2015 in Burlingame, California. Joining LK in the spotlight will be Marianne Miller and Robbie Daymond, who plays Tuxedo Mask in VIZ’s new production of Sailor Moon.
Then, from May 28 through 31, LittleKuriboh will be returning to MomoCon in Atlanta, Georgia. LK had hinted earlier this year that MomoCon would be a possibility, and it’s exciting to see him welcomed back. Other guests announced so far include comic and animation writer Greg Weisman and actors Keith David, Crispin Freeman, and Steve Blum.
My page for LK’s Anime Convention Schedule is now updated with these latest stops.
Tags: anime convention, fandom con, let's play, littlekuriboh
Thought LittleKuriboh’s 2014 anime convention schedule was finalized? Nope! Add another stop in Florida to the mix. LK will be attending FANdom Con in Fort Walton Beach, Florida as a guest from November 7 through 9.
Now in its fifth year, FANdom Con will also be welcoming fellow voice actors Scott McNeil, Chuck Huber, and Robert Axelrod as guests.
LK at Anime Revolution in Las Vegas
If you’re in the Las Vegas Valley tomorrow, July 26, and want to see LittleKuriboh, you’re in luck! LK will be stopping by the Anime Revolution store in Las Vegas, Nevada from 6 pm to 9 pm PDT for a super-special meet and greet. This is the first time LK has booked an appearance at a retail location.
Anime Revolution is located at Town Square shopping center. The store specializes in anime goods, cosplay, and clothing. Hooray for supporting small businesses, LK!
“Where’s the New Episode?!”
Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged fans who have met up with LittleKuriboh at his recent anime convention visits know that he has screened the completed video of YGOTAS episode 62. So, in the eternal words of the baby Kurama monsters from Cr@psule Monsters 2: “Where’s the new episode?!”
“For those of you wondering where my new content is – your patience will be rewarded soon. I promise,” LittleKuriboh tweeted earlier this week. “I’m waiting on a few things, but trust me, you’ll be seeing a lot more LittleKuriboh material. And you’ll like what you see. I’ve actually been very hard at work on a number of projects, and hopefully the work will pay off by entertaining all of you.” What new material might we get…?
At a few of his recent panels, LK revealed to attendees that he has recorded numerous new episodes of his Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines Let’s Play videos. By building up a healthy reserve, he hopes to release them on a weekly basis in the near future. At A-Kon 25 in June, LK also noted that he has begun recording a new Let’s Play series featuring Marik playing Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Sounds exciting! Hope to see both of these projects (and perhaps even more) very soon.
LittleKuriboh Convention Update: Ichibancon 2015 / Charity Event Status / CardGamesFTW: Gone and Back AgainJune 7, 2014 at 7:32 am | Posted in Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series | Leave a comment

“Already got cons scheduled in 2015 and 2016,” wrote LittleKuriboh back in October 2013. “Whaaat.”
Whaaat indeed. LK’s first stop of 2015 will be Ichibancon, an annual anime convention in the Charlotte, North Carolina metropolitan area entering its sixth year. Ichibancon 2015 will be held in Concord from January 1 through 4 and will be the first time LK visits a con in North Carolina. Other guests that have been announced so far include LK’s wife, Marianne Miller, and voice actors Vic Mignogna and Eric Vale.
Where else will LK be headed in 2015? Possibly Kami-Con Season 7. At the end of Kami-Con Season 6 earlier this year, LK’s guest liaison, Liam Adkinson, might have let the cat out of the bag in an offhand tweet: “Big shoutout to @yugiohtas and @mariannemiller for being the nicest guests ever to work with. Can’t wait to see you at next year’s Kami-con!”
Here’s hoping it’s true!
RAINN Charity Event Possibly Delayed
We’re fast approaching June 15, the date that LittleKuriboh and Marianne had set aside for an all-day charity event to raise money for RAINN — the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network. But it looks like the couple are having some trouble with LK’s green card, so much so that they might need to shelve the event.
“Unfortunately, with his immigration process being a butthole, I think we may have to postpone for a bit,” tweeted Marianne. “I’m a little bummed, because 6/15 will mark the 5th year since I was raped and I wanted to do something really positive to show to other victims that life goes on and gets better, buuuuuut I GUESS I’LL JUST HAVE TO DO IT LATER THAN I PLANNED :'(”
Nevertheless, she is hopeful that they will still do something on the 15th. With any luck, they will make an announcement about the status of the event soon.
LittleKuriboh came to the United States in October 2011 with a fiancé visa, marrying Marianne at the end of that month. But even though the pair have been together since then, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is apparently still not convinced that they are a genuine married couple.
LK and Marianne hired an immigration lawyer and have reached out to fans, asking for affidavits and photos that document their time together that can be used as evidence to show that their marriage is legitimate.
CardGamesFTW: Gone and Back Again
As you probably noticed, LittleKuriboh’s main YouTube channel, CardGamesFTW, was banned yet again on May 15. And although LK noted that it had been more than two months since he ran into any trouble, the last time the channel had been terminated was actually December 23, 2013, nearly six months earlier.
Thankfully, CardGamesFTW quickly returned on May 22, so fast that LK got “copyright whiplash.” Ha, very nice.
This was the 18th time CardGamesFTW was terminated. If we reach 20 terminations, I’ll publish a very special post that looks back at the awful things that his poor YouTube account has suffered.
