Preorder Bandai’s Blue-Eyes White Dragon Figure-rise Standard Amplified Model Kit

Blue-Eyes White Dragon is coming to life in 2023 in a new plastic model kit from the master model designers at Bandai Spirits. Seto Kaiba’s signature monster joins the Figure-rise Standard Amplified line, a series of build-it-yourself, posable action figures from the same company that creates Gundam plastic models (Gunpla).

Blue-Eyes White Dragon is molded with metallic blue parts and has articulated joints in its arms and legs that give it a wide range of motion.

It comes with two special connector joints, one for the back…

…and one for the abdomen, which allow for numerous creative and dynamic positions.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon is huge, with a single wing measuring almost 10.5 inches. The wing membrane is constructed of a soft vinyl material.

Its neck and tail are comprised of small joints and have a wire inside, allowing for supple, life-like poses.

Even its jaw and tongue can move.

Bandai’s Blue-Eyes White Dragon Figure-rise Standard Amplified Model Kit is available for preorder for around $60 to $65 from several reputable U.S. retailers, including BigBadToyStore, Crunchyroll Store, Galactic Toys, Gundam Planet, Right Stuf Anime, and USA Gundam Store.

Shipping is expected in March or April 2023.

Bandai’s Figure-rise Standard line was originally developed for humanoid plastic models that looked and posed like actual human bodies.

In 2019, Bandai extended its Figure-rise Standard line with “Amplified” models featuring more complex creations. The “Amplified” refers to the reimagining of the depicted character or creature as an appealing mechanical model while still retaining the feel of the source material. Most of the models in this Amplified line are from the Digimon franchise. Blue-Eyes White Dragon is the company’s first Yu-Gi-Oh! product in this line.
