Taka Corp Studio Updates: Kaiba with Obelisk, Millennium Puzzle Sculptures

Half a year has passed since Taka Corp Studio’s last major update about its Yu-Gi-Oh! projects, but make no mistake — the company is hard at work on its goods. On Sunday, reps from the French high-end collectibles maker participated in a livestream to provide updates on all of the company’s products.

First, Taka Corp teased its upcoming Seto Kaiba with Obelisk the Tormentor resin statue with an image of its silhouette, pictured above. From the looks of it, the statue depicts Obelisk throwing its Fist of Fate attack. The piece will be “massive,” just like Taka Corp’s Yugi with Slifer statue.

Some fans wondered if Taka Corp still has plans for a statue of Marik with The Winged Dragon of Ra. The company is noncommittal about its plans as it continues to wait to see how Kitsune Statue handles the duo before proceeding.

Taka Corp also provided an update on its 1/1 scale resin Millennium Puzzle.

The company has a new concept for the life-size sculpture’s base, which is now inscribed with the Eye of Anubis symbol and the words “In Memory of Kazuki Takahashi.”

Taka Corp did not provide exact preorder dates for these items, but expect them soon — maybe even as early as the end of this year.
