The Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series tournament has been running for over 8 years and is about to host its 200th event next month. To celebrate this milestone, Konami will hold three YCS events simultaneously in different parts of the world for the first time ever. On September 22 and 23, duelists can head to Columbus, Ohio; Mexico City, Mexico; and Utrecht, Netherlands, to take part in the 200th YCS.

The 200th YCS Columbus event will host special guest Darren Dunstan, best known as the voice of Maximillion Pegasus in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters and the voice director of all Yu-Gi-Oh! anime since episode 60 of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s. Naturally, this also means the return of the Ultimate Pegasus Challenge, a tournament where Pegasus uses his position as the creator of Duel Monsters to invoke wacky changes to the rules of the game while duelists are playing. This is only the fourth time that this special event will take place. Darren will be signing autographs all weekend as well.

The 200th YCS will also have several exclusive giveaways for participants, including a Gold Sarcophagus playmat; a Field Center Marker featuring the new prize card of this dueling season, Chaos Emperor, the Dragon of Armageddon; and a brand-new Divine attribute die.

To see Darren’s autograph schedule, photos of all of the exclusives, and more information about the event, check out the 200th YCS Columbus FAQ on the official Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG website. The Columbus event will be live streamed on the OfficialYuGiOhTCG channel on YouTube.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series is the successor to the Shonen Jump Championship, which hosted 74 events across the U.S. before ending in April 2010. The rebranded YCS program took dueling global, holding major tournaments in Europe, Latin America, and Australia, and introduced more prizes to duelists.

A special guest made an unexpected appearance at this weekend’s Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series event in Atlanta, Georgia: Pot of Greed! The clay sculpture of the legendary card was handmade by Dimitrius Scameheorn, a senior at Kenwood High School in Clarksville, Tennessee, for his art class.

For bringing along his cool creation, Scameheorn was selected as one of the “Bounty Duelists” at the tournament, giving him and his opponents a chance to win booster packs for dueling.

The premieres just keep coming for Yu-Gi-Oh! anime fans at the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series in Las Vegas! After round 5 concluded, the live stream played a new opening for Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V, which will presumably make its televised debut during season 2.

The theme song played is still “Can You Feel The Power?” but the freshly cut video features new scenes, characters, and monsters, plus one old character’s rather familiar silhouette.

Earlier today, a new English-language Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions trailer also debuted during the live stream.

This weekend’s Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series in Las Vegas, Nevada, is a special one for the one thousand duelists in attendance because they being treated to an anime premiere — the new English trailer for Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions! Not at the event? Fret not, because Konami didn’t forget about you. This YCS is being live streamed and the trailer just dropped after round 2! Here it is, available for all to watch:

New English Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions Trailer (Twitch live stream)

Alas, this trailer doesn’t feature any English dialogue and is composed almost entirely of footage recut from the teaser and two Japanese trailers. Granted, there is a lot of new stuff for Yu-Gi-Oh! viewers who only watch English-language products, but for the most die-hard fans who also watch Japanese videos, everything here is pretty familiar. Well, almost everything…

This trailer does feature two new blink-and-you-miss-it moments that have not appeared in any previously released footage. First, in the opening sequence, a familiar character is seen walking toward a bright light away from the viewer. Yeah, we’ve already seen that in the teaser. But then, he stops… and seems to want to turn around… but the shot fades to black! Nooo! Is that you, Yami Yugi?! And second, Aigami is shown standing outside by a busy sidewalk in a shot seen in the first Japanese trailer… except this time, the camera proceeds to zoom in on his face and eye.

Update (March 14): 4K Media has posted an HD version of the trailer to YUGIOH.com.

Few Yu-Gi-Oh! fans will ever forget the tragedy that befell Dan Green (the voice of Yugi) and his family and friends in November 2011 when his wife Michal passed away after giving birth to twins. Little Kuriboh, who had helped so many others before with his famed “Card Games For Charity” event, raised over $6,300 for Dan and his newborns, Reverie and Jackson, through his auctions and encouraged fans everywhere to donate.

Now, the Yu-Gi-Oh! community is coming together once again to help support Dan and his family with a very special benefit being held at the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (YCS) in Providence, Rhode Island on October 21 and 22. Several voice actors from the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series will be in attendance, including Dan Green, Wayne Grayson (Joey Wheeler), Darren Dunstan (Maximillion Pegasus), Ted Lewis (Ryo Bakura, Bandit Keith, Jack Atlas), Greg Abbey (Tristan Taylor, Yusei Fudo), Erica Schroeder (Mai Valentine, Mana, Akiza Izinski), and Mike Pollock (Arthur Hawkins). The charity events include discussion panels, scripted live duels, autograph sessions, and a Win-A-Mat tournament.

A video about the benefit was posted on the official Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Page on Facebook earlier today. Additional information about YCS Providence, Rhode Island is available in a press release and at YuGiOh-Card.com.

If you aren’t able to attend the event and still want to contribute, you can donate by visiting DanGreen.info, a website run by Dan Green’s friend and fellow voice actor Mike Pollock.
