Blue-Eyes White Dragon Berry Blast Yu-Gi-Oh! cereal box from FYE

Konami Cross Media NY made a slew of Yu-Gi-Oh! licensing and merchandise announcements at the annual Licensing Expo trade show this week in Las Vegas, including some new takes on old childhood favorites.

This month, FYE will launch an in-house line of Yu-Gi-Oh! products, starting with the Blue-Eyes White Dragon Yu-Gi-Oh! cereal pictured above, which goes up for pre-order today. The entertainment specialty retailer will also carry Yu-Gi-Oh! chocolate bars and apparel merchandise.

Yu-Gi-Oh! will soon be making a triumphant return to the popular subscription box service Loot Crate. The company has signed on to bring exclusive Yu-Gi-Oh!-branded items to its Loot Anime line, which features mystery crates for anime and manga enthusiasts. Yu-Gi-Oh! last appeared in the March 2016 Loot Anime crate, which contained a pair of Millennium Puzzle socks from apparel maker Bioworld.

Pop culture retailer Fun.com and its sister site HalloweenCostumes.com are already prepping for the Halloween shopping season. The company will debut a Yu-Gi-Oh! character costume line, which will be available for purchase worldwide (excluding Asia). Fun.com already makes its own anime costumes from series like Dragon Ball, Attack on Titan, and Sailor Moon.

Personalized jewelry maker Tioneer continues to roll out new Yu-Gi-Oh! products. Since debuting its Yu-Gi-Oh! line in December 2018, Tioneer has expanded its offerings with the Black Metal series, which features solid white designs atop pure black stainless steel rings, pendants, and money clips; and the Shadow series, which showcases the silhouettes of popular monsters.

“There’s a stronger presence for Yu-Gi-Oh! at the retail level thanks to the growing popularity of anime and the fact that anime is more accessible to fans than ever before in today’s streaming marketplace,” said Jennifer Coleman, VP of licensing and marketing at Konami Cross Media NY, in a release. “We are excited to be working with these new licensees to establish a wider assortment of product offerings for the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand.”
