You might already know that Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and 5D’s are available for purchase on YouTube from Cinedigm. But now, these series are also streaming for free thanks to 4K Media. Today, the official Yu-Gi-Oh! YouTube channel added the English dub of both series.

The first season of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX is up now, along with both seasons of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s. 4K Media also added episodes 3, 4, and 5 of the classic Yu-Gi-Oh! series. Here are 4K Media’s playlists:

  1. WHAAAAT? This is so random, but very welcome!

  2. The interesting thing is that 4K Media uploaded these years ago, originally to use with YouTube’s Content ID system. I remember reporting some episodes that were accidentally made public when they weren’t supposed to be. But I think a bunch more episodes just became available to even more countries now. So that’s great! And the Duel Monsters episodes are new, so hopefully there will be even more of those in the future.

  3. Interesting.
Does it have to do with the fact that streaming on the site yugioh.com is the player of Hulu.com (still this player?), And the idea was originally to use the player of YouTube itself?
But only the episodes of GX and 5D’s are 2015. Those of Duel Monsters were posted this week, really!

And I remember sending you an email in December, ravegrl, alerting you to this initiative by 4K Media, which is not only restricted to the Official Yu-Gi-Oh! channel, but also to the channels Yu-Gi-Oh! Español Oficial and Yu- Gi-Oh! Português Brasileiro Oficial (this one created specifically for this initiative).

Another thing. 4K Media is managing these three channels in a confusing way.
In the Official Yu-Gi-Oh! channel, the last episode of the GX is 49, and in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Español Oficial and Yu-Gi-Oh! Português Brasileiro Oficial is already in episode 68, with the post being made weekly, with 4 episodes every Tuesday.
On the Yu-Gi-Oh! Español Oficial, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s was only released until episode 52, episodes 14, 20 to 30 are in trouble, and episode 41 has not yet been released.
And on the Yu-Gi-Oh! Português Brasileiro Oficial, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s has not yet been released (4K Media only linked to the English season 1 playlist). It is not known why, since there are episodes dubbed 5D’s (Brazilians only know 13, but certainly there is more).

  4. Yugioh.com uses both Hulu’s and Crunchyroll’s player, which automatically changes depending on where the viewers are located and what videos they are watching. Likewise, the availability of the YouTube videos depends on where the viewers are located. I don’t know if yugioh.com ever had plans to use YouTube’s player. If you notice a problem with any of the videos, please contact 4K Media to have it fixed (there’s a contact link at the bottom of every page on yugioh.com).
