Sora Shiunin, furious at Yuya Sakaki,in Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V manga chapter 30
Par for the course in the world of Yu-Gi-Oh!

Amid their underwater duel, Sora Shiunin at last reveals to Yuya Sakaki what the power of G.O.D. can truly accomplish.

“It is the creation…of perfect parallel worlds,” says Shiunin. “Countless parallel worlds…and among them the worlds that each person wants!”

It is through this power that he and his sister can remain together forever. Yuya doesn’t accept this.

“But is making a world just for one person really right?” Yuya asks. “Shutting yourself up in a world of your own… Is that any fun?”

Shiunin scowls fiercely at Yuya. He doesn’t see the need to further explain himself to the Dueltainer. Shiunin unleashes a torrent of Frightfur monsters and uses them to call forth his signature monster, Frightfur Daredevil. Its attacks Yuya, destroying his only defense and damaging his life points. As Yuya flounders, he hears a familiar voice.

“Seriously…your heart is too soft!”

In a blink of an eye, Yuri appears and declares himself to be Shiunin’s true opponent. He won’t stand for anyone hurting Yuya. Using his trademark Pendulum Fusion, Yuri summons his own signature monster, Starving Venemy Dragon, and destroys Frightfur Daredevil.

Shiunin regroups, using his Frightfur monsters’ effects to bring more monsters back to his field. He then uses them to summon a deadly new monster: Dangerous Frightfur Nightmary. With the head of a broken doll, a gangly and seemingly hollow body, and hands and arms that float in front of her, this monster is truly a terrifying sight. Strands of Nightmary’s long hair lash out like tentacles, grabbing the memory spheres around the two duelists. Yuri realizes that she increases her strength by absorbing others’ memories.

Shiunin orders Nightmary to attack. She opens her clackity mouth, letting out a shrill cry as apparitions emerge from her body and lunge toward Yuri. She annihilates Yuri’s dragon effortlessly.

Thoughts

Sora Shiunin is so different now. From the moment he dives into the pool, Sora, now in a wetsuit with his hair down, seems like a completely different person. And it’s more than just appearances. With his memories back, he’s so much more determined and vicious. There are numerous expressive and fun Sora faces in this chapter.

Sorry, Yuya, but I don’t understand your reasoning here. Sora only wishes to be with his sister, but Yuya disapproves of this, questioning the value of the existence of parallel worlds and the “fun” behind them. Really? What does that have to do with anything? There must be some information that hasn’t yet been introduced, something that explains the dangers of G.O.D.’s powers in more details. It would be one thing if Sora wanted to use the power for evil, but that doesn’t seem to be his intentions at all.

That Nightmary is one macabre monster. And look at her bangs. They look like Miu’s. Yuri has his work cut out for him fighting this monster. I don’t want the villains to win, but I wouldn’t be surprised if another one of Yuya’s counterparts falls. One by one they could go until only Yuya is left.
