Grin Studios Yu-Gi-Oh! Figure Hangers (Series 2) boxes

Grin Studios is back with another set of Yu-Gi-Oh! figure hangers! Today’s installment of Yu-Gi-Oh! For the Holidays (YGOFTH) looks at this new set of keychains. Series 2 includes seven figures in all, each sold in its own blind box.

Included inside the box is a 6- by 8-inch mini poster featuring Yami Yugi and the Egyptian Gods on the front and a checklist of the Series 2 figures on the back.

Each figure is stored in an opaque bag that’s taped closed. The key ring is usually peeking out of the bag as shown to prevent it from scratching the figure.

Let’s take a look at the figures! First up is Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters protagonist Yami Yugi, decked out in his Battle City garb. He and the Egyptian Gods each stand about three inches tall.

Here’s Obelisk the Tormentor, out for its morning jog. Obelisk’s wings are made of slightly flexible plastic to prevent them from easily breaking off.

Here’s The Winged Dragon of Ra. Its wings, arms, legs, and tail are all slightly flexible.

And here’s Slifer the Sky Dragon. The middle part of Slifer’s body is made of hard plastic, but all its other parts are slightly flexible.

Next up is the always popular Millennium Puzzle, which measures almost 1.75 inches long.

I noticed that it’s possible to slightly push outward the front piece of the Puzzle. This is probably not a feature, but rather the way the toy was made. I didn’t keep pushing to see if the piece was fully removable because I didn’t want to risk damaging it.

Here’s another popular item, the Battle City Duel Disk. This measures 3.5 inches long.

Highly detailed, the Duel Disk can also change into standby mode if you don’t want to duel.

The box and checklist promise that there’s one more figure included in Series 2 — an exclusive mystery figure. What could it be…?
