4K Media (Konami) today announced two big licensing deals to bring new Yu-Gi-Oh! figures and collectibles to the Western market.

First, 4K Media and Funko have partnered to develop a line of stylized vinyl figures and other collectibles based on Yu-Gi-Oh! characters and monsters. Funko, a Washington-based purveyor of pop culture goods, is probably most famous for its big-headed Pop! Vinyl line, which includes thousands of licensed figures of TV, movie, and video games characters, as well as real-life celebrities, athletes, and musicians.

Second, 4K Media and GameStop have inked a deal to create a line of four-inch Yu-Gi-Oh! figures to be sold at GameStop’s brick-and-mortar and online stores, as well as its partners’ stores. Although it is best known for its video game retail business and tech brands, GameStop has begun homing in on the collectibles market this year, expanding its shelf space for collectibles in all of its stores and signing major licensing deals to produce its own original products.

“We are elated to welcome both Funko and GameStop to the Yu-Gi-Oh! family,” said Jennifer Coleman, 4K Media’s VP of licensing and marketing, in a press release. “We are impressed with both companies’ creative designs for new and engaging collectibles encompassing so many of our central characters and monsters. Yu-Gi-Oh! fans around the globe eagerly await each new licensed product introduction, which not only keeps the brand fresh and front of mind, but also serves to invigorate demand for all things Yu-Gi-Oh!”

What Yu-Gi-Oh! figures and collectibles would you like to see? Yugi and Kaiba Funko Pop! Vinyl figures are definitely no-brainers! Funko Plush of Yu-Gi-Oh! protagonists and monsters would certainly be welcome on any collector’s shelf. And you can never have enough Yu-Gi-Oh! shirts!
