Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation, the free-to-play Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG game for iOS and Android tablets, will at last be updated for play on mobile phones. Konami formally announced the news Friday evening on Facebook. Presumably, the game will now run on all iOS and Android mobile devices and not just tablets and select large-screen phones. What took so long, Konami?!

Word about the upgrade first surfaced in a now-deleted post dated July 19 from Charles Murakami, one of the producers of Yu-Gi-Oh! DG.

“We are working hard on some new updates!” Murakami teased while posting the photo seen above, which shows the game running on an iPhone. “Can you guess one of them?”

Konami said last December that the 2014 Yu-Gi-Oh! DG game will see new updates in 2016.

  1. I have been playing Duel Generatios for over a month in my phone, I didn’t even know that it was for tablets, I wonder why that is, I have a Redmi Note 2

  2. Some Android phones have been able to play it if they have a big enough screen. iPhones haven’t been able to play it though (until now). Playing on a tablet is probably a better experience than playing on a phone though because tablets have larger screens.
