Yu-Gi-Oh! Yami Yugi mug mock-up from GB eye

4K Media (Konami) is rounding out its busy week of Yu-Gi-Oh! licensing announcements with news for fans in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. The company is teaming up with GB eye, a major brand licensee and leading supplier of posters in the United Kingdom, to bring new Yu-Gi-Oh! merchandise to Europe and beyond, beginning with a line of posters and mugs in late summer 2016.

GB eye’s products will be available in mass market and video and game retailers in Austria, Belarus, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, the U.K., Ukraine, Eastern Europe, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.

GB eye is hoping that this roll-out of select Yu-Gi-Oh! merchandise will catch the eye of retailers and lead to opportunities to develop and market more Yu-Gi-Oh! items in the future, says the company’s licensing manager Max Arguile.

4K Media’s VP of licensing and marketing Jennifer Coleman emphasized in a 2015 interview the company’s desire to make inroads into the European market and connect with Yu-Gi-Oh! fans hungry to grow their collections.
