Want to read Kazuki Takahashi’s Yu-Gi-Oh! manga in Japanese for free? For a limited time, Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ digital manga platform is letting readers check out the first three volumes of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga in their entirety! These books are the “bunko” editions (“bunkoban” — small-sized paperback edition), which include more chapters per volume than their original “tankobon” releases and, in the case of Yu-Gi-Oh!, also feature some revised text and illustrations, new cover artwork, and bonus material.
The books will be accessible beginning today, April 27, until May 10. Shonen Jump+ normally sells each book for 500 yen (about $4.20). The first chapters of the remaining 19 volumes can also be previewed for free.
The Yu-Gi-Oh! bunko editions were originally published in Japan between April 2007 and March 2008. They have yet to be released in the United States.
