It’s been a long, long wait, but 4K Media (Konami) has at last finished subbing Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s. Crunchyroll today added episodes 111 through 154 in all of their uncut, Japanese glory to its library, bringing the series to its highly anticipated close. This last set of episodes includes the Ark Cradle storyline beginning in episode 130, which was not fully adapted in the English-dubbed version of the show. The episodes are currently available to Crunchyroll’s premium members worldwide (except most of Asia).

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s has the honor of being the first and only Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series to receive a complete, official subtitled release, and only the second Japanese series formerly licensed by 4Kids Entertainment to get such a treatment (the first being Sonic X).

My page for Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s subtitled streams have been updated with these newest videos from CR.

The latest subbed episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s on Hulu and YUGIOH.com is still episode 135. There’s no word yet when these platforms will receive the remaining episodes of the show.

  1. I think it’s wonderful that 5D’s now has all of it’s episodes officially subbed. So thanks 4K Media for subbing all of it. Thumbs up!

  2. This is huge. We’ve been stuck at episode 135 for so long that getting the rest of the episodes almost seemed like a fantasy, even though 4K Media said they would get done. For the entire show to finally get subbed — and be immediately accessible not just to the U.S. on Hulu, but to the whole world, no less — is extraordinary.

  3. The only thing I have to wonder is if Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal is next on 4K Media’s roll out plan? Been stuck at Episode 29 for awhile now…

  4. When can we watch for free?

  5. On another note do you think there is any reason for 4k media uploading a heap of the English and Japanese openings of DM and GX recently to the official YouTube channel. Is it a sign of something (e.g. some more subs) or am I reading too much into it?

  6. @ChibiGoku 4K Media did say that ZEXAL would be fully subbed, so I trust that it will eventually be done.

@Sahil You can check if a video will be available to non-premium members by looking at its video info in the sidebar. Episodes 111 through 139 will be available to free users on March 13, and episodes 140 through 154 on March 20. You asked me the exact same question last time CR added episodes, remember? ;)

@f1maddave I think you’re reading too much into it. 4K Media uses that channel for marketing.

  7. First Zexal gets a completed English dub, now 5D’s gets a completed English sub. 4K your doing Yu-Gi-Oh! justice. Let’s hope now that they have a complete subtitle script to work off of, they can develop the rest of an English dub for 5D’s as well.

  8. @Fantomy i completely agree with ya. so eternally grateful for the subbing of 5D’s and i hope they actually finish the dub. but im really just so thankful for the sub haha
