The tears… They won’t stop…
After more than three years of augmented reality duels, Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL high-fives the sky one last time in its finale, “ZEXAL Forever,” out now on Hulu. The English-dubbed version of the show ends with 146 episodes — the same number as the original Japanese version.
If you haven’t yet checked out Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, what are you waiting for? Take it from a long-time fan of Classic Yu-Gi-Oh! and the adventures of Yugi and his friends: if you’ve always had a soft spot for older Yu-Gi-Oh! series that has left you indecisive about committing to a newer series, make an exception and take a chance with Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL. Don’t be fooled by the show’s bright, bubble gum colors and young, wide-eyed characters. With a story that starts off innocently enough but that gradually spirals into a cold and twisted climax, Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL is an exceptional show has enough drama to excite even the most exhausted fans of the franchise. Who knows, it might even Xyz your expectations!
And if you’re a ZEXAL anime veteran who’s looking to join Yuma and Astral for even more extravagant exploits, why not expand your horizons with Shin Yoshida and Naohito Miyoshi’s Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL manga? This ongoing series, which debuted in Japan in February 2011 (before the anime did!) starts off similarly to the anime, but quickly pivots into a unique story with its own extreme brand of madness.
It’s hard to believe that Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL is only the second anime series in the franchise that has had every one of its episodes dubbed into English. To celebrate this milestone, I will be adding new pages with links to stream and download Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL (and GX and 5D’s). This something that I should have done a long time ago to better support the shows and that I hope will bring greater awareness of their availabilities. The pages will go up tomorrow, or whenever YUGIOH.com’s video feed is updated with the newest episode of ZEXAL.
