For the first time ever, the Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card Game will be sharing the spotlight with another game at a Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (YCS) event. At YCS Philadelphia on May 17 and 18, Yu-Gi-Oh! fans will have two ways to duel!

Today, WizKids — the developer of the collectible miniatures game HeroClix — and Konami announced that the recently released Yu-Gi-Oh! HeroClix expansion series will be making an appearance at YCS Philadelphia with its own organized tournament. Players will be randomized into pods of four and will battle in a free-for-all using six Yu-Gi-Oh! figures. Winners will receive an as-of-yet unnamed Limited Edition figure. WizKids will be onsite offering demonstrations for how to play HeroClix.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! HeroClix expansion made its first appearance as a six-figure starter set back in January. Series 1, made up of 55 figures, was released on April 23. Additional details about the game are available at WizKidsGames.com and HeroClix.com.

YCS Philadephia will take place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from May 16 through 18. The official Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG website has a full rundown of the event.
