The new year is here, and very soon, LittleKuriboh will be mingling with his fans across the country as another anime convention season kicks into gear! What new stops has LK added to his ever-growing itinerary?
The biggest announcement came yesterday evening when the Middle Tennessee Anime Convention (MTAC) in Murfreesboro, Tennessee revealed on Facebook that LittleKuriboh and his wife will be guests at this year’s event from April 18 through 20.
Why is this an extra big deal? Because for the first time ever, LittleKuriboh and Dan Green, the voice of Yugi, will be guests at the same event! And that’s not all. Also attending is Eric Stuart, the voice of Kaiba, who, quite amusingly, absolutely loathes LK and his work. You can thank Eric for encouraging Dan to attend MTAC. While Dan sometimes appears at Konami’s major Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG events, he doesn’t make very many stops at conventions (MTAC says that this will be his first American anime con), so you won’t want to miss this rare opportunity to see LK, Yugi, and Kaiba at the same event!
What might happen if LittleKuriboh meets Dan Green? LK has imagined two different scenarios:
If I do ever meet [Dan Green], I want to film a little short video which is called “LittleKuriboh Meets Dan Green.” And I want it to just be us walking down a corridor like in opposite directions and just pass by each other and just be like, “Hey.” “Hey.” And then just carry on going. And then it ends. And that’s going to be it. And that’s going to be the definitive moment of my life.

If I ever got to meet Dan Green, I would just shake his hand. I wouldn’t even mention who I was. I’d just shake his and say “Thank you” and I’d leave.

Oh my goodness. No matter what happens, if they meet, I hope there will be video footage to forever document that amazing moment because I’m pretty sure the world will implode, sucking every single Yu-Gi-Oh! and YGOTAS fan into a vortex of hysteria.
Back For More: Mythicon, Fanime
The up-and-coming Orlando, Florida convention Mythicon has also announced that LittleKuriboh and his wife will return as guests later this year. The event, now in its second year, will take place from September 19 to 21 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld.
On Tumblr, LK has confirmed that he will be at Fanime once again this year (though not as a guest). The con is scheduled for May 23 through 26 in San Jose, California. Sadly, these dates overlap with this year’s MomoCon, one of his favorite cons, so he unfortunately won’t be able to return to Atlanta, Georgia for that. In the past two years, LK had attended both cons with his wife.

A Christmas Tragedy Repeated: CardGamesFTW Terminated
Do you remember the very first time LittleKuriboh’s CardGamesFTW YouTube channel was banned? Wow, that was a frightening moment! It happened on December 23, 2010 and brought back so many awful memories from the days of the original LittleKuriboh channel when YouTube accounts sometimes vanished at the whim of a website administrator and died everlasting deaths. Was CardGamesFTW gone for good? Thankfully not.
But now, three years and 16 terminations later, CardGamesFTW was again struck down on the exact same date. That’s right, CardGamesFTW was banned for the 17th time on December 23, 2013.
“Just in time for Christmas. Yaaaaay,” LK tweeted. Poor LK, having to put up with this misery during the holidays when everyone is supposed to be joyful.
Fortunately, things are much different on YouTube today than during the dark days of the original LittleKuriboh channel. Expect to see the account back soon. In the meantime, you know the drill: head over to Ninjabridge and the official YGOTAS Blip.tv account to satisfy your LK cravings.
Prior to the December 23 termination, the last time CardGamesFTW was banned was on October 26, 2013. It didn’t return until November 27 — a wait time that’s a bit longer than the ones LK has seen in the past. Hopefully, that month-long downtime won’t become a trend.
Update: Whew, the account was restored today, shortly after I published this post. Total downtime: 18 days. I wouldn’t call that fast, but all things considered, it’s not too bad.
