Ryuuzaki and Haga completely surprised in episode 159
Ryuuzaki and Haga can’t wait…

Official Japanese episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters with English subtitles will soon be available online!

That’s the latest word from 4Kids’ Nameless Cubicle Office Guy (NCOG), posted earlier today in the comments section on 4Kids’ YouTube channel.

*Original Japanese Language Sonic X & Yu-Gi-Oh! subtitled episodes of Season 1 WITHOUT ANY CONTENT EDITS – i.e. the original real deal – are coming online! We have Sonic X episodes & Yu-Gi-Oh! episodes almost ready for prime time. In the coming weeks they will be available online – Sonic X in the US & Canada and Yu-Gi-Oh! worldwide except Asian countries. Geography viewing restrictions are due to online streaming rights issues. Stay tuned and don’t freak waiting but there will be guns and cursing (oh my!). More details soon…

This latest message is the first announcement that has provided new information about their YGO DM uploading project since April 1st, when the regional restrictions for their YGO DM videos were lifted.

Further announcements made today include the addition of a few high-definition English-dubbed “test episodes” of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s to YouTube in the next few weeks, as well as the possibility of setting up a blog to more effectively answer questions from fans. You can read the rest of the message on their channel.

Up until now, the only Japanese episodes of YGO DM released by 4Kids were on their three “Uncut edition” DVDs, whose episodes have slowly been making their way onto YouTube. And even with those, only the first nine episodes were released. To finally be able to see the rest of the first season in Japanese through an official, legal medium will be, to put it mildly, a real treat! Thanks, 4Kids! I can’t wait! And as the NCOG likes to remind us, all of this is only possible with continued support from fans, so keep spreading the word and supporting 4Kids and their YouTube channel!
