Today at San Diego Comic-Con, Saban Brands introduced the world to Vortexx, its upcoming Saturday morning children’s programming block on The CW. Vortexx promises to light up the network with action, adventure, and comedy programming, including Yu-Gi-Oh! and Power Rangers. Like its predecessors TheCW4Kids and Toonzai, Vortexx will include both a TV broadcast and Internet component.
Vortexx premieres on Saturday, August 25 and will run from 7 am to 12 noon.
In the meantime, head over to Facebook and “Like” Vortexx’s official fan page, then follow it on Twitter! And keep your eye on the official website at MyVortexx.com. If all goes well, that could be where we’ll find our beloved Yu-Gi-Oh! episodes streaming in the near future.
Is that a Power Rangers-esque lightning bolt I see in the Vortexx logo? Oh Saban, you’re so clever. :)

What’s better than getting to see the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D: Bonds Beyond Time movie? How about seeing it on 4Kids’ dime in the Big Apple? The Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel of the Decade Sweepstakes is offering one lucky fan a three-day, two-night trip for four to New York City to see the Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th anniversary movie, plus a $500 gift card! Pretty sweet! Now this is my kind of contest! Check the official rules for all the details and enter by January 21.
And, if you haven’t done so already, hit up the Official Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Page on Facebook to see a promo video about this contest and get more information about the movie, become friends with Yami Yugi, and follow @YGO3D on Twitter! While you’re at it, follow @Toonzaki as well, as it’s now under new and official management by the Toonzaki.com crew. (The account was previously occupied by a name squatter.)
One interesting note about the sweepstakes is that the winner will get to see the 3D film sometime between February 19 and March 6. The date that the movie first hits theaters was previously announced to be February 26. Does that mean the winner could get to see it before everyone else? Aww! Some fans might get green-eyed!

If you’re named Steve or you support Marik Ishtar’s plans for taking over the world, defeating Yugi in a children’s card game, being Zorc’s wife, or whatever his evil scheme of the day might be, then you’ll definitely want to follow him on Twitter! Direct all fangirling and words of praise to @ObeyMyRod and you too can be part of his army!
Marik’s first Tweet came about 24 hours ago:
So Bakura told me I was a twit of the highest order. So I took that to mean I should dominate Twitter! With my tweets!
So, will you be one of Marik’s Tweetslaves and help him with his plans of domination? No matter. If his paperwork goes through, we’re probably all going to be named Steve sooner or later, or so I hear.
